★★★★★WatchmenWatchmen delivered a clear voice, strong momentum, and several moments that landed emotionally or intellectually. I would happily recommend it to the right reader.★★★★★Diary of a Wimpy KidThere is plenty to admire in Diary of a Wimpy Kid, although some choices did not fully work for me. Even so, the main themes were strong enough that I am glad I read it.★★★★★MatildaMatilda gave me more to think about than I expected. The strongest ideas stayed clear without becoming simplistic, and I marked several passages to revisit.★★★★★The Name of the WindThe central idea in The Name of the Wind is handled with enough depth to spark a real conversation. It was accessible, memorable, and more nuanced than the summary suggested.★★★★★The Song of AchillesThe Song of Achilles delivered a clear voice, strong momentum, and several moments that landed emotionally or intellectually. I would happily recommend it to the right reader.★★★★★CirceThere is plenty to admire in Circe, although some choices did not fully work for me. Even so, the main themes were strong enough that I am glad I read it.
