Write useful reviews
Focus on the book and your reading experience. Explain what worked, what did not, and who might benefit. Specific observations are more useful than one-line praise or dismissal.
- Discuss ideas, writing, structure, usefulness, or audience fit.
- Mark major plot details before sharing spoilers.
- Write from your own experience and do not copy another review.
- Avoid promotional links and repetitive content.
Treat people with respect
Criticism of a book is welcome. Harassment of authors, readers, or other people is not. Hate speech, threats, personal attacks, discriminatory language, and attempts to expose private information may be removed.
Keep participation authentic
Do not impersonate another person, manipulate ratings, coordinate spam, or use multiple accounts to distort discussion. Conflicts of interest should be disclosed when they could affect a review.
Moderation
BooksLivres may remove content, limit account features, or suspend accounts when participation creates safety, integrity, legal, or spam risks. Context, severity, and repeated behavior are considered when moderation decisions are made.
